The problem of Cain/Abel and Esau/Jacob is the lack of reciprocal love (Ahava) between the man of matter and man of spirit. By nature, Esau the elder should have inherited the priesthood and Jacob the material world. But at age 13, Esau chose hunting and nature, becoming the extreme pagan — while Jacob chose the tent of study.
