Manitou explique la signification du huitieme jour dans la tradition juive. Le septieme jour (Shabbat) est le temps present ou l'humanite engendre le fils de l'homme. Le huitieme jour est messianique. L'islam se situe au sixieme jour, le christianisme pretend etre deja au huitieme (dimanche), et le judaisme reste au septieme en gestation du huitieme. Hanoukka dure huit jours car elle prefigure l'accomplissement messianique.
