Kudsha Brikhu (holiness), Torah, and the people of Israel are the same identity at three levels: holiness = will of the Creator, Torah = level of truth, Israel = level of reality in the world. The Torah is 'min hashamayim' (from heaven) — not from our world. It does not give itself as inheritance but must be conquered. Israel too has a root of identity that comes from elsewhere. Abraham said of himself 'ger vetoshav anokhi imakhem' — both stranger and resident among them.
