Manitou analyzes Rashi classic question why Torah starts with Bereshit and not HaChodesh hazeh lachem. He explains that in Torah there is no early or late but in sefer Torah there is order. The historical opening was needed to explain who are Moshe and Aharon, and Maaseh Bereshit was written to prove to nations that Eretz Israel belongs to Israel.
